About Garden Yogis
I've been a yoga student for nearly 30 years and working as a secondary school teacher for the same time, and I'm so happy to now be combining these two skill sets as a certified Yoga Alliance teacher.
My classes blend nearly 30 years of Iyengar yoga experience - a deep understanding of asanas (poses) and how to adapt safely for different levels of ability - with elements of Vinyasa flow yoga for greater expression. Through focusing on yoga for strength and balance in the body, my aim is for students to develop their own understanding of how to establish this for the mind also.
I particularly enjoy practising yoga outdoors, for the feeling of freedom this experience gives, and the connectivity with nature and the earth.
I aim to share the benefits of practising yoga with everyone in the community, making it accessible for all - from those who want to just 'give it a go' through to committed yogis!
